Q: How long can I order my DVDs?
Forever. Mr. Video has a library of over 26,000 video masters
dating back to 1986. Every event we have ever videotaped in
order to sell DVDs is still available for purchase. Events
before 2001 must be ordered by calling (800) MR VIDEO or (800)
678-4336.
Q: Can I order last year’s DVDs?
YES, you can order any video we have ever shot. Mr. Video
has a library of over 26,000 video masters dating back to 1986.
Every event we have ever videotaped in order to sell DVDs
is still available. Events before 2001 must be ordered by calling
(800) MR VIDEO or (800) 678-4336.
Q: How long does it take to get my DVDs?
We ship all the DVDs at approximately 4-6 weeks after the
event. The mail time takes up to 10 days. The DVDs are shipped
from Omaha, Nebraska. If the main shipment has been sent and
your order was not placed by then, your order is a back order.
Back orders can take up to 3-5 weeks after receiving order/payment.
We try to minimize this by having extras available for months
after the event. It’s always faster to get your order
in right away even though past events can be ordered at any
time.
Q: How much does it cost to hire Mr. Video to do my
event?
NOTHING. Mr. Video invented the ‘Free Videotaping Service” in
1986 videotaping small school programs and other similar events.
We shoot for the exclusive right to sell DVDs to participants.
Please call to discuss your event. We will put together a proposal
with all the details. Thanks for asking.
Q: Do you take purchase orders?
Yes, however this will delay your order. We can issue an
invoice from a purchase order, but DVDs will not be shipped
until payment is received. Mr. Video accepts Checks, Mastercard,
Visa, American Express and Discover Cards or cash. If you are
with a school that only does purchase orders, you can turn
it in to Mr. Video, we will issue an invoice for your records,
but the DVDs will not be shipped until payment is received.
Q: I received the wrong video, what do I do?
Call us at (800) MR VIDEO, we will be happy to resolve the
problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Q: How do I get a sample of your work?
Go to the ‘view demo’ section of the website.
If you would like an actual DVD demo, please call us at (800)
MR VIDEO.
Q: My DVD doesn’t play on my player, what do
I do?
The DVDs we sell at Mr. Video are burned DVD vs stamped or
replicated DVDs. When you rent a movie, these DVD are replicated
by the 1000’s. This process of replicating guarantees
it will play on all DVD players. There are two formats for
burning DVDs: DVD-R and DVD+R, pronounced “DVD dash R” versus “DVD
plus R”. Right now in the DVD world, there is a debate
going on regarding what format to be standard. We at Mr. Video
believe the DVD-R format will reign the winner. Remember when
VHS and Beta had the same war in the 80’s. We believe
this is going on right now. DVD player manufactures are changing
technology to play either format, however, occasionally players
will not play the ‘dash R’ format. If you want
to learn more about this, go to the following link: http://www.customflix.com/Customer/Compatibility.jsp If
you have problems playing your DVD, the link above has a list
of DVD players by make and model numbers that will play DVD-R.
The number of machines that DON’T play DVD-R is diminishing.
If you have incompatibility problems call our toll free number
for some options: (800) MR VIDEO. For more info, click here.
Q: I didn’t order at the event, will it take
longer to get my DVDs?
As long as we receive your order within 3 weeks after the
event, your video will be shipped with all the others. If you
order after that time frame, your order may be delayed slightly,
however, not much. Back orders are orders taken after the first
shipment of the ‘main orders’ 4-6 weeks after event.
Orders after this may be delayed because they are considered
back orders. Back orders usually take anywhere from 3-5 weeks
from receipt of order. We try to minimize this by having extra
DVDs available for months after the event. It’s always
faster to get your order in right away even though past events
can be ordered at any time.
Q: What does DVD-R mean?
The DVDs we sell at Mr. Video are burned DVD vs stamped DVD.
When you rent a movie, these DVD are replicated by the 1000’s.
This process of replicating guarantees it will play on all
DVD players. There are two formats for burning DVDs: DVD-R
and DVD+R, pronounced “DVD dash R” versus “DVD

Q: When searching online, I cannot find my event?
Try simplifying your search. i.e. If you are searching for
All Star Challenge’s King of the Jungle, try to search
for “All Star” or “King” or “Jungle” to
see if it shows up. It is looking for the exact words you type
in. If the result of your search is too large, try to narrow
it down by event date. If all else fails, call (800) MR VIDEO
for help. Online ordering is only available for events in 2001
to present, even though Mr. Video has a library of over 26,000
video masters dating back to 1986. Everything we have ever
videotaped an event to sell tapes are still available. Events
before 2001 must be ordered by calling (800) MR VIDEO or (800)
678-4336.
Q: Can I copy my video for my friends?
Mr. Video is paid exclusively from the sale of these DVDs.
Not only is it illegal to try to copy the DVDs, it is also
unethical. Mr. Video puts a signal on the DVDs to prevent
illegal copies. It is always an advantage to have the original
video packaging and quality.
Q: What happens if my check is returned or my credit
card is declined?
Processing orders after the event takes time, sometimes checks
bounce or credit cards decline. No problem. If there is a problem,
we will contact you. Your order will be put on hold until we
hear from you. There may be a service charge depending upon
the circumstances. We try to be understanding of individual
situations. Remember the credit card is not charged until we
are getting close to shipment. We try to charge the cards just
prior to shipping the DVDs, usually 7-10 days. Your card
is NOT charged at the event.
Q: How can I pay for my DVDs?
Mr. Video takes Checks, Mastercard, Visa American Express
and Discover Cards. Do not send Cash in the mail. It is also
discouraged to pay by cash at the event as well. If you do
pay cash at an event, make sure you get a receipt. The check
or credit card statement would be your receipt if paying that
way.
Q: Will my event be on TV?
Possibly, please contact the event host to learn about their
TV shows and to find out when and where it will be televised.
Keep in mind that when an event is televised, only portions
of the event actually are shown on TV. Mr. Video tapes everything
and it all is available for purchase.
Q: Is priority service (Rush Orders) available?
Yes, please call (800) MR VIDEO to inquire about different
costs and options. Or use the rush options to put an expidited service in your cart. Click her for more info.
Q: I am not happy with my video, do you offer a guarantee?
Absolutely, Mr. Video has a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
If you are not satisfied with your DVD, return it for a full
refund. Your feedback is appreciated. Please indicate your
name, address, phone and any other comments to help us learn
how to improve our service.
Q: Why are there so many close-ups, I cannot see the
choreography?
There is a fine line between what a choreographer wants to
see versus what a parent wants to see. On a single camera shoot
we try to keep zoomed in as much as possible keeping everyone
on the screen, however, on two-camera shoots, in order to represent
the close-up view, the wide choreography shot is compromised.
It is our goal to get equal and fair coverage of each performer,
however, occasionally with all the movement we don’t
get exact even coverage of each cheerleader/dancer. Fortunately
we have videotaped 1000’s of cheer events and dance recitals
so we have a good feel for the choreography and try to preserve
it.
Q: Where do I send returns?
